Veterans Pension
The Veterans Administration offers a Pension benefit which allows for Veterans and surviving spouses who require the regular assistance of another person with eating, bathing, dressing, undressing, medication dosing, or taking care of the needs of nature (in some cases just having high medical expenses will be enough to qualify) to receive additional monetary benefits. It also includes individuals who are blind or a patient in a nursing home because of mental or physical incapacity. Assisted care in an Assisted Living facility may also qualify. Benefit Amount: A Veteran is eligible for up to $23,238. A Veteran with a Spouse is eligible for up to $27,549 annually. There is also a benefit provided to a surviving spouse of a Veteran. |
